Drive-Thru Trick or Treat at Mile Square Park

With the current pandemic Halloween was a bit different this year, but this didn't stop the First District team from celebrating with the community! This past Halloween, Supervisor Andrew Do hosted the safe, contact-less, kid-friendly Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat at Mile Square Park! Hundreds of families lined up in their cars to experience the spooky season spirit with music, a display pumpkin patch and graveyard, a Dia de los Muertos altar, goodie bags and more! Vice Chairman Supervisor Andrew Do was dressed up as Superman's Clark Kent and had a blast connecting with some of Orange County's youngest residents who were dressed in costumes as well.

Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat

Families drove-by, opened their trunks, and received a Halloween bag full of goodies such as coloring pages, hand sanitizers, facemasks, Dia de los Muertos kid masks, kid-friendly activities and goodies donated by OC Health Care Agency, OC Waste and Recycling, OC Vector Control, CalOptima, OCTA, Metrolink, and others-- and of course, candy! There were treats for the entire family.

Special thanks to all the volunteers, park rangers, and all the families who attended. We had a larger turnout than expected. For those who couldn't make it or were unable to get through, we will ensure next year's will be even bigger!
